This World War II photograph, taken about September 1944, shows Captain Andrew D. Turner of Washington, DC, in his P-51C fighter aircraft. Turner graduated from flight school on October 9, 1942, and served with the Army Air Corps 322 Fighter Group (The Tuskegee Airmen) in the Mediterranean Theater.
