A farewell and a warning

On January 17, 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower gave this radio and television farewell address from the White House at the end of his second term. With the Cold War arms race in mind, he warned the nation to guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence by the military-industrial complex.
