Pulling out Tailpipe Delta

This Combat Control Team Mission Report of May 12, 1968, describes Lieutenant Colonel Joe Jackson’s flight into an abandoned Special Forces camp at Kham Duc, Vietnam, where he rescued the last three men from their overrun position. This report from the three members of CCT “Tailpipe Delta” dispassionately recounts the rescue. Jackson received the Medal of Honor for his actions that day.
