Trumpeter and Partisan

ca. 1787

John Peter Miller was a trumpeter in Amrand’s Partisan Corps from 1778 until 1782. Wounded in the hand and both legs, he received a pension of $120 per annum until his death in 1835. His wife, Ann Elizabeth, filed this illustrated family record in 1839 as part of her widow’s pension application. Her claim was allowed, and she received a pension until her death in 1840.
