This undated image shows a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) timber worker. The CCC was one of the early public works agencies created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “New Deal” to employ young, jobless men during the Great Depression of the 1930s. The original format of this image is a lantern slide, a transparent photographic image mounted on glass.
